THRS Partners, a volunteer organization at The Honor Roll School, consists of THRS parents, teachers and staff.
THRS Partners is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, which was formed for social, charitable, and educational causes. Our purpose is to seek, cultivate and obtain revenues to be used for developing and expanding educational opportunities for children who attend The Honor Roll School.
In past years, THRS Partners has used fundraising revenues to complete many projects on campus. such as commissioning a fantastic mural in the ECP lobby from Mr. Guillermo, Promethean Boards and overhead projections systems, a campus library expansion, computer lab and playground upgrades. More recent projects included a campus-wide surveillance system, the Front Lawn “re-do”, new sound and projection systems in the gym and the dining hall, and a broadcast studio with audio speakers in every classroom. Most recently, proceeds from 2016’s Festival of Friends are being used to completely renovate the THRS gymnasium. With new floor paint and design, coordinating wall paint, new curtain dividers and an easy-to-use electronic bleacher system, the home of the Fighting Dolphins has never looked better!
Throughout the year, we hold a series of events that showcase our school spirit such as Back-to-School Bash, Family Bingo Night, Festival of Friends/Boosterthon (on alternating years), Coffee Socials and Fun Food Fridays. We invite you to join us at any or all these events to see THRS SPIRIT in action!
August 2017: Students and staff were welcomed to the 2017-2018 school year with a brand new look in the dining hall! New stage curtain, stage lighting, and a new projector and screen! New families were also welcomed at a breakfast in the Dining Hall, hosted by THRS Partners.
The Festival of Friends will be here soon! More information to come…
How You Can Get Involved
Volunteerism is one of the most integral components of a successful relationship between a family and their school of choice. Studies have shown that children, whose parents regularly participate in their child’s school community, achieve a higher level of satisfaction and academic success than those whose parents do not. A parent’s regular attendance in their child’s school gives concrete proof to the children that education is indeed one of their families highest priorities.
Volunteering allows parents to develop deeper relationships between themselves and their children’s teachers and administrators. Whether you choose to volunteer weekly or once a year, there is an opportunity for every single parent to volunteer.
