The Perfect Balance of Learning and Play

We believe that preschool is more than just learning isolated lessons. Our Links to Learning curriculum “links” multiple activities together, tailored to each child’s interests. Does your child like playing with blocks? Our teachers may ask her to build a tower while naming the colors and counting the blocks – linking language, math, and fine motor skills! Your child will build confidence, gain life skills, and have fun while they learn. We are more than a daycare. We provide a space for your child to thrive.rnrnOur child care program has six stages designed for children from 6 weeks to 5 years, giving the right support at each age. From babies discovering their world to 4-year-olds learning to read, we help them at every step.

The seven components of Links to Learning:

Language & Literacy

We inspire a love of reading and language by creating a literacy-rich environment that introduces children to a wide range of stories, letters, and words.

Mathematical Thinking

Children learn the foundations of addition, subtraction, and geometry, and learn different ways to compare quantities. Activities are designed to develop reasoning and problem-solving skills.

Social-Emotional Learning

Children recognize and label emotions, while learning how they fit into their community and the larger world. Teachers use problem-solving activities to develop children’s self-help skills.

Wellness

We help children develop fine and gross motor skills through dance, games, and physical activities. Basic nutritional and safety concepts are introduced to help children make healthy choices.

Creative Expression

We expose children to various music and art concepts, through vocabulary, discussions, and hands-on activities. Children practice self-expression as they engage in imaginative play.

Scientific Exploration

Children participate in hands-on science, engineering, and technology activities, while building important life including problem solving, collaboration, communication, analytical reasoning, and investigative thinking.

Citizens of the World

Our students learn about different places, people, and cultures. They discover traditions, holidays, and ways of life from around the globe, building respect and appreciation for diversity. Our students hear stories, try new foods, and sometimes even explore traditional clothing from other cultures. We integrate Spanish throughout the day to expose our students to a second language.

Beginners

Our Beginner classroom is a supportive environment where two-year-olds begin to come into their own. Students focus on developing important self-help skills, like dressing themselves, washing their hands, using eating utensils, and taking care of their basic needs. We believe in empowering our students to become more self-reliant by fostering their independence

Your child will also build vocabulary, explore shapes, sort colors, and create multi-sensory artwork. We encourage critical thinking by helping your child use simple reasoning to explain everyday occurrences.

Intermediates

Intermediates

Our Intermediates thrive in a classroom filled with exciting, hands-on activities that ignite their imagination and curiosity. Navigating social interactions is a vital part of our Intermediate program. Your child will practice taking turns, sharing, and understanding their own emotions, as well as those of their peers.
We also take pride in beginning to foster a sense of appreciation for diversity in our three-year-olds. We encourage them to celebrate and demonstrate acceptance of people who are similar and different from themselves—laying the foundation for an inclusive outlook on the world.

Pre-K

Pre-K

Our Pre-K program develops the strong social-emotional skills and etiquette necessary to ensure a successful transition to kindergarten. Your child will learn how to adhere to classroom rules, listen to their teacher and peers, show respect for others, and follow directions.

They’ll be prepared academically by learning letter-sound relationships and sight words, practicing addition and subtraction, and exploring maps and globes. They’ll use scientific inquiry to participate in fun experiments and explore imaginative play related to personal experiences, literature, and interests.

Transitional Kindergarten

Transitional Kindergarten

As children move into our Transitional Kindergarten program, their school day becomes more structured to support their growth. They continue to learn about letters and sounds, practice spelling, and write sentences neatly. In math, they count, look for patterns, measure, and learn simple adding and subtracting. In science, we talk about animals, plants, food, and even outer space! In social studies, our students learn about families, helpers in our community, holidays, and how to take care of the Earth. Our days also include art, music, Spanish, library, and gym. These classes help our students be creative, move their bodies, and play with friends.

Beginners

Family Communication

We know that aside from extraordinary curriculum and caring teachers, communication is one of the most important factors when choosing a preschool. Not only is communication with your child’s school important, but in today’s busy world, it can feel overwhelming to stay on top of what your child is learning. Our teachers and administrators strive to make communication as seamless as possible – giving you one less thing to worry about!
