Family Resources Home / For Parents / Family Resources Family Reading & Listening List This is a curated list of books and podcasts for parents navigating screens, resilience, and raising grounded kids. Every family is navigating the same questions right now: how much screen time is too much, how to raise kids who can handle disappointment, how to talk so they’ll actually listen. We’ve gathered a short list of books and podcasts that speak to those questions directly — grounded in research, written by people who’ve spent careers studying childhood and communication. Links 2 Home App We know how much you enjoy seeing photos of your children in action learning and having fun at school. The Links 2 Home mobile app, available on Apple and Android, gives you the ability to easily view these communications, which will be available throughout your child’s enrollment with us. Download the app from the Apple or Google Play store and create an account using the email address that is on file with our school. Both parents are able to create accounts. Please contact the Business Office to verify your email addresses if needed. Lunch It is our goal to provide lunch options that are both delicious and healthy. Parents can order lunches through My Hot Lunchbox. For current families, please visit detailed information on the school app. Food delivery services (including DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, and similar services) are not permitted on campus. To maintain campus safety and security and to minimize non-essential visitors, students or parents may not order food or other items for delivery to the school during the school day. Uniform Policy & Ordering We require all students to wear a school uniform unless otherwise directed. Global Schoolwear is our approved uniform provider. When ordering shirts/outerwear, please ensure you order them with our logo. Field trip t-shirts (for K-4th) and spirit shirts can be purchased from the Spirit Store. Summer sales are announced via email by signing up to receive Tommy Hilfiger promotions at https://www.globalschoolwear.com/emailsignup. School Fees/Payments To use a credit or debit card, or to set up ACH automatic payments, log into Alma and visit your account page. Children’s Health Policy Students who are ill and/or have a fever must remain at home. The regulations of the Texas Department of Health require that all students must be free from fever (100.4° F or higher) for more than 24 hours before returning to school. Our School Nurse will decide whether or not a child is well enough to attend class. The School Nurse’s decision is final in these matters. As a reminder, we are a peanut and tree nut-free school. Emergency Closings The Honor Roll School will send text messages via Alma, notifying parents about emergency closings. Please ensure your Alma settings allow for text messaging under each parent’s account. Parent Forms & Handbooks Parents will receive a link to fill out the Student Information Forms after enrolling. These forms are required yearly and all parents receive an email at the beginning of the school year with instructions. School handbooks are located in the THRS app (information is shared with parents during the school year).
