Slide 1 Slide 2 Slide 3 Slide 4 A Special Visit from the Mayor of Sugar Land Students at The Honor Roll School were honored to welcome the Mayor of Sugar Land, Texas, who joined our community for a meaningful moment by leading students in the Pledge of Allegiance. The visit brought civics to life, giving students a firsthand opportunity to connect with local leadership and reflect on the values of citizenship, respect, and community that unite us. Student Art Celebrating America’s 250th Birthday Celebrate creativity and history with The Honor Roll School as students honor America’s 250th birthday—commemorating 250 years since the United States Declaration of Independence. Through vibrant, thoughtful artwork, students capture the spirit, pride, and story of our nation in a truly inspiring way. A Plymouth Experience Our 7th and 8th grade students brought history to life during their trip to Plymouth, stepping into the role of early settlers through hands-on militia drills and immersive experiences. National Anthem Day Students and staff come together to honor National Anthem Day with a heartfelt performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner.” This special moment celebrates patriotism, community, and the voices that make our school unique. Boston Tea Party Our 7th and 8th grade students visited the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum, where they experienced an immersive exploration of the events surrounding the Boston Tea Party. Through this hands-on learning opportunity, students gained a deeper understanding of the historical significance and impact of this pivotal moment in American history. American Revolution Program Our annual American Revolution program featured our 5th graders bringing America’s story to the stage. From the Boston Massacre and Boston Tea Party to Crossing the Delaware and the Surrender at Yorktown, history told through student voices is powerful. Honoring the Past. Inspiring Future Leaders This President’s Day, The Honor Roll School celebrated the leaders who shaped our nation, while empowering students to imagine the kind of leaders they can become. In a special writing activity, students shared what they would do if they were president, building creativity, confidence, and a deeper understanding of leadership. Inaugural History Essay Contest Spring Education Group’s inaugural History Essay Contest challenged middle school students across 40 campuses to explore what courage meant during World War II—and why it still matters today. Our very own 8th grader, Gayathri, rose to the top, earning 1st place for her thoughtful reflection on bravery in the face of adversity, connecting powerful moments from history to the courage we see in the world around us today.
