Leadership & Faculty Home / About Us / Leadership & Faculty Dedicated Leaders & Expert Teachers At our school, everyone works together to make sure students and families feel happy and supported. Our leaders, staff, and teachers are all here to help. Our teachers love sharing what they know, whether it’s about reading, music, or outer space! They make learning fun and exciting, helping students explore new things and find what they love. Together, we create a special place where students can grow and learn every day. From the Head of School Doris Quintero Dear Parent, Since 1991, The Honor Roll School in Sugar Land has been known for its excellence in preschool through 8th grade education. Parents have complimented us on our passionate and dedicated teachers, our standards-based curriculum, and our understanding of the needs of each child. Our preschool curriculum was designed by a team of highly skilled experts in curriculum design, instruction, and assessment. Links to Learning, our preschool curriculum for children ages 2 to 5 years, takes advantage of a child’s readiness to learn with activities that are fun, challenging, and engaging. Our elementary and middle school programs provide opportunities for students to master basic skills, problem solve, make positive decisions, and practice higher-level thinking. Our teachers thoughtfully adapt lessons to make sure instruction stays engaging, appropriately challenging, and relevant to every student. We believe that beyond the core subjects, classes in art, music, technology, Spanish, and physical education are essential to educating the whole child. Our curriculum is founded on rich and challenging content that engages students and inspires them to develop a love of learning. We understand however, that students need more than academic knowledge to achieve future success. Field trips are one way to help our students make connections to lessons learned in the classroom. Some places we have visited include Camp Olympia, Artist Boat, Mainstreet Theater, Bush Presidential Library, Houston Zoo, Interactive Aquarium. Our after-school program runs from 3:30 to 6:00 pm, and includes activities such as homework helper, arts and crafts, free play discovery time, sports and snack time. We understand life can be hectic. We are here to accommodate your busy schedule. Please feel free to contact us to schedule a private tour. I look forward to meeting with you, learning about your child’s educational needs, and discussing how we can work together to meet them.
