Inspiring Readers: Our Very Own Little Free Libraries

Looking for your child’s next read? We’ve got just the place! Here at The Honor Roll School in Sweetwater we are so excited to have added two Little Free Libraries to our campus.

What is a Free Little Library? They are small public library boxes meant to share different types of literature and the love of reading within communities. People are encouraged to “take a book, leave a book” with hopes that fellow readers may replace their new findings with a book they may have already finished.

These new additions would not have been possible without all the hard work and money raised by our very own 2022-2023 student council. Using the money that they collected throughout the school year, our student council not only purchased two Free Little Libraries but also filled each one with books that cater to all ages for our families and the surrounding community to enjoy. They can be found outside in the front courtyard by either one of our two entrances. The Honor Roll school works to inspire a love of reading and language by creating a literacy-rich environment that introduces children to a wide range of stories, letters, and words. We are so excited to see how these Free Little Libraries encourages readers throughout our community! Happy reading!
